The Wrench.Ai app likes to read data in a comma separated values file, or CSV. This is a plain text file that can only contain numbers and letters in a table format; it’s one of the best ways to exchange a large amount of data. Typically, a CRM can export data as a CSV, but if you have data in another format, like Excel, you can “Save As” and choose the CSV extension.
You may have contacts or email lists that are not in your CRM. If this is the case, you can still upload that data to the Wrench.Ai app via a CSV file via drag-and-drop. This also allows you to manually segment (if you wish) the contact data you have, and the Wrench.Ai app will take into your account your segmentation.
The next most likely data source you may need to export from is LinkedIn. Once you’ve exported LI data into a CSV file, make sure that the email column is prominent and labeled as:
- “Email” or “Email2” (you can list two emails per contact)
- “Phone” or “Twitter” (note you can include a column with phone numbers and / or a column with Twitter handles; the Wrench.Ai app is cap sensitive, so keep that in mind)
When you’re ready to upload, click “doc file” within the dialogue box, or drop the CSV file into the window, It will automatically begin the enrichment process—and if you’ve chosen to create a campaign, filling out your campaign assignment.
